ADORE DENTAL | KANGAROO POINT, BRISBANE
PRICING & PAYMENT PLANS.
How treatment is quoted here, the ways you can pay for it, and where to find starting prices for everything we do.
HOW PRICING WORKS HERE
quoted in writing, before anything starts.
Planned treatment is quoted in writing before it starts, so you have the number in your hands before you decide.
Dental treatment is priced by what the work involves, which is why published figures are starting prices rather than fixed amounts. A filling on a front tooth and a filling on a back molar are different jobs. Veneers are priced per tooth, so six teeth and ten teeth are different numbers. Two people who walk in asking for the same thing can need very different work.
So a proper quote comes after a proper look. What we can give you beforehand is where treatment starts, which is enough to know whether you are in the right range, and that lives in our price guide. Cost is only one part of the decision, and every treatment carries its own risks and considerations.
THE PRICE GUIDE
STARTING PRICES, TREATMENT BY TREATMENT.
One document covering the treatments we offer, with starting prices and the payment options available for each. Sent straight to your inbox.
Prices in the guide are a starting point rather than a quote, and your own cost is confirmed in writing after an assessment.
FROM GUIDE TO QUOTE
THE REAL NUMBER.
01 | A LOOK AND CONVERSATION
You tell us what you would like to change, we examine what is actually there, and we say what we think is worth doing. Complimentary consultations are available for any cosmetic treatment. See what one includes.
02 | A WRITTEN TREATMENT PLAN
Item codes, stages and the total, on paper. Take it home. Ring your health fund with the codes and ask exactly what they will contribute. Take it to another dentist for a second opinion if you want one. It does not expire and nobody will chase you.
03 | CHOOSE HOW YOU PAY
We go through the options below together and work out which fits. Where you want a third-party payment plan, pre-approval is done here in the clinic and takes about fifteen minutes.
YOU WILL KNOW THE NUMBER BEFORE WE BEGIN.
WAYS TO PAY
WAYS TO PAY.
Most people use more than one. A health fund rebate on part of it and a plan for the rest is a common combination.
pay upfront →
BANK TRANSFER, EFTPOS, CASH, AFTERPAY OR ZIP.
Paid in full at the time of treatment. Afterpay and Zip are ways of paying on the day rather than payment plans, and their own terms apply.
private health funds →
EXTRAS COVER, CLAIMED ON SITE WHERE YOUR FUND ALLOWS IT.
If you hold extras cover, your fund may contribute toward part of the cost. How much depends on your fund, your level of cover, your remaining annual limits and any waiting periods, so we cannot tell you what you will get back.
What we can do is give you the item codes before you start, so you can ring them and get a real answer. We have HICAPS on site, so where your fund allows it you claim on the spot and pay only the gap.
PAYMENT PLAN PROVIDERS →
HUMM AND DENTICARE.
Third-party providers who pay us in full and let you repay them in instalments, interest-free or low-interest depending on the plan. Pre-approval is done in the clinic and takes about fifteen minutes.
These are credit products. Approval is subject to the provider’s own assessment, and their fees, terms and repayment schedules are set by them rather than by us.
our in-house plan →
SPREAD ACROSS YOUR TREATMENT.
Where treatment runs over several appointments, we can break the cost across the course of it, so you pay as you go rather than all at the start. No third party and no credit check. Ask whether your treatment suits this one.
early release of super →
COMPASSIONATE GROUNDS, THROUGH THE ATO.
The ATO can release superannuation early where dental treatment is needed to relieve chronic or acute pain, or to restore function such as eating or speaking. The application goes to the ATO, not to us, and the decision is theirs.
Releasing super early reduces your retirement savings, so it is worth getting independent financial advice before you apply.
not sure yet →
SAY SO BEFORE YOU RULE ANYTHING OUT
If none of these looks workable, tell us. Sometimes the answer is staging treatment over a longer period, sometimes it is doing the part that matters clinically now and the cosmetic part later, and sometimes it is a different treatment altogether. That conversation costs nothing and it happens more often than you would think.
QUESTIONS ABOUT COST
ASKED & ANSWERED.
If your question isn't here, please get in touch with us. We're always happy to help.
WHY ARE PRICES SHOWN AS STARTING PRICES?
Because the work is not identical between people. A root canal on a single-rooted tooth is a different job to one on a molar with four canals. A single fixed figure would mean either overcharging the straightforward cases or surprising the complex ones, so we publish where treatment starts and then quote you properly once we have looked.
what makes the price move?
For cosmetic treatment, mostly the number of teeth involved, since it is priced per tooth. Then the condition they are in, whether anything needs treating first, and which materials suit your case. For general dentistry, which tooth it is, how much of it is left, and whether the problem has been there a while.
do i have to pay for a consultation?
Complimentary consultations are available for any cosmetic treatment. They run around thirty minutes to an hour depending on who you see, and they are a discussion rather than a treatment appointment. A scan may be taken; X-rays and a full dental examination are not included. Nothing is started on the day that you have not agreed to first. Full details of what a complimentary consultation includes.
If what you need is a general check-up rather than a cosmetic discussion, that is a standard appointment rather than a complimentary consultation, and it is priced in the guide.
what does a check-up and clean cost?
It is priced in the guide, and it covers a comprehensive examination, X-rays, removal of plaque and staining, fluoride treatment, desensitising treatment if you need it, and a 3D scan where one is required. Any treatment we find is quoted separately before it starts.
With eligible private health extras cover, some patients pay no gap for this appointment. Whether you do depends on your fund, your level of cover, your remaining annual limits and any waiting periods, and we can check it for you before you come in.
will my health fund cover cosmetic treatment?
Usually less than you would hope. Most funds contribute more toward general and preventive dentistry than toward cosmetic work, and some exclude it. Your plan carries the item codes, which is what your fund needs in order to tell you exactly. We would rather you rang them and got a real figure than took an optimistic guess from us.
can i pay it off?
Yes, either through one of the third-party providers above or, for some treatments, through our in-house arrangement spread across your appointments. Pre-approval for the third-party plans is done in the clinic and takes about fifteen minutes. They are credit products, so approval and terms sit with the provider.
what if i can't afford the whole plan?
Tell us. Treatment can often be staged, and there is usually a clinical order of priority, so the part that protects your health can happen now and the rest later. Sometimes there is a less expensive treatment that does most of the job. We would rather have that conversation than have you walk away and do nothing.
what costs come after the treatment itself?
The ones people are most often caught out by are night guards where you grind, retainers after aligners and their eventual replacement, the crown that usually follows a root canal, whitening before veneers so the shade matches, and replacement at the end of something’s working life. Where any of those are likely for you, they are in your plan from the start rather than arriving later.
what happens if something needs redoing?
It depends on what and why, and we will tell you honestly which it is. Adjustments and refinements shortly after treatment are part of the work. Damage from grinding or trauma, or replacement at the end of a restoration’s natural life, is new treatment and is quoted as such.
